“I just wanted to tell you how impressed we were with the trommels. We were up at the IGPA Outing on Memorial Day and also the Nampa GPAA outing June 12th. We had a lot of fun running the trommels and everyone there was impressed with Danny’s great demonstration.”
— Keith and Vicky Anderson, Members of IGPA and Nampa Chapter GPAA
“Last Saturday I participated in a demo presented by Dan. The demo was great and I really appreciated the opportunity to learn more about this industry.
I'm a rookie to gold prospecting, and have only had my first gold pan for two weeks. I understand the principle now and it looks very promising.”
— Michael Dawson, Idaho
“I took the opportunity to go up to the Miss Lucy/Paymaster claims for Summit Mining's Trommel Demo day last month. I was not disappointed! Danny and Daniel explained the operation of their machines and allowed me to process about a dozen buckets of material. It was wet and muddy but exhilarating and refreshing at the same time (I hate to miss a chance to play in the dirt!).
After a final cleanup of the machine, the result was a very decent amount of gold in a small phial, which they allowed me to keep. Unbelievable! It was a great time. I was very impressed with their trommel products and their hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who is thinking of upping their prospecting game to check out Summit Mining & Equipment Inc.
You'll be glad you did!”
— Bud Gudmundson, Idaho
“I bought a trommel from Danny this spring and think it is great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to move more material and capture more gold. It far outperforms a highbanker and the smaller unit is easier to move around. I love it.”
— Kirk Redlin, Idaho
"The Summit trommel is the best trommel I've ever used for recreational gold prospecting. I can process over 1 1/2 tons of material per day by myself. If you want to run more material and ultimately find more gold, you need to have a trommel. The Summit trommel is the best quality for the money that I've seen on the market. It's extremely well-made and user-friendly. I would strongly recommend it to any prospector who wants to increase his gold recovery capabilities.”
— Tony Olson, Vice President, Idaho Gold Prospectors Association
“I want to thank you again for the Pro Inline Screen. I just got it today! Wow, talk about fast delivery! I will be showing all my friends and club members. We have been long overdue for an inline filter. We put the end line in a bucket, then into the water and it still sucked up roots and debris."
This will make things move much faster.”

Hello,
I wanted to know if it would be possible for you to build me a trommel with a 24 inch by 48 inch drum that has a grizzly hopper. I would then be able to install the sluice I have made for such a trommel.
I need to know if it is possible, what it would cost, time frame, and shipping details. I want to be able to use it with my backhoe.
Thanks, Darrin.
Hi Darrin,
The largest gold trommel we make is a 14″ However, Vigilante Mining Equipment (www.vigilantemining.com) makes a 24″ with a grizzly. You should check them out.
Hello,
I bought one of your long Pro River sluices at the Roseburg show, and am wondering if it’s possible for you to build a header box for it so I can mount one of your Zig-Zag highbanker boxes to my sluice? Would be very interested in hearing if this can be done, for how much, and what kind of timeframe. Guess I would also need to know how much it would cost for just the Zig-Zag portion of the highbanker as well?
Also, I’d like to set it up as recirculating highbanker, using a battery powered pump. How many GPH sized pump would you recommend for this?
Cheers,
Tom
Hi Tom,
We don’t offer a conversion kit yet, it’s currently in development – probably will release this Fall. However, if you would like us to make modification prior to that we can make arrangements for that. We will send you an email with details on pricing, ect.
Thanks for your purchase, it was nice meeting you in Roseburg! We are getting ready to head to Salem this weekend, will you be there?

Hi Jon,
We currently don’t have a design for a longer sluice option due to the placement of the rock chute. You might consider Vigilante Mining. Thanks for thinking of us!
can i get a 10” trommel with out the sluice and a eletrix motor
Parker,
You sure can, give us a call and we can discuss details. 971-285-8499.
Thanks,
Cherie
thank cherieyou
thankyou cherie
can i get a 8″ by 2″ sluice ”That is a 8in by 2in”
Hi Parker,
Are you looking for an 8″ wide by 2″ deep sluice? What about length? Is this to customize the trommel as mentioned above or is this just a rive sluice to be used separately?
8”long 2” wide 1/2” deep
separately
Hey Parker,
Writing you back on your email so that we can be sure of what you are asking for, to ensure you get what you want. Here is what you have asked us about.
10″ Trommel with the electric option and no sluice box – No problem with this, we can remove the sluice box and only send the trommel. What type of electric option are looking at getting, the 12V DC (battery operated) or the 120V (generator, standard electric plug) option?
Custom sluice box – you have requested a 8″ (inch) long x 2″ (inch) wide x 1/2″ (inch) deep sluice box. Just to be sure on the size, this would be about the size of a man’s shoe? I am not sure if you were meaning to type in inches or feet? If you are wanting a large sluice box, we can make a 8′ (feet) long x 2′ (feet) wide x 1/2′ (feet) deep sluice box with no problems. This would be very similar to the sluice boxes that we have on the website. The ones in the picture on the custom order page where you commented, are 10′ (feet) long x 16″ (inches) wide x 4″ (inches) deep.
If you can reply with an answer of what motor option for the trommel, and the correct size of the sluice box (feet or inches), we can get you a quote for each.
We are looking forward to hearing back, so we can meet your request.
8″ (inch) long x 2″ (inch) wide x 1/2″ (inch) deep sluice box
